Who happened to find this Website and left a message was Rob, KL7NA, who used 
to be a high school student whose call was KL7IIP living in Anchorage, Alaska 
35 years ago.
He is now portable W7, in Walla Walla city in state of Washington, teaching 
electronics engineering in Walla Walla University. I found a wonderful 
picture of his family in his homepage.(The right picture, below.)

In that era, I was a college student, and enjoying sked QSOs with Ray, KL7CYH
(now KL7C) for a few hours almost everyday.  Many stations in Anchorage were 
said to enjoy listening to our QSO.  I visited Anchorage for two times, and 
Ray held a party inviting many hams in the city, so I used to have many 
friends there.

Rob is one of them, and the left picture below, is one I took I visited Ray 
at the first time in 1976. 

Well, today, Rob and I could realize a QSO after 35 years on 14MHz. We made a 
schedule by e-mail, and there we are! Oh, what a nostalgic voice!  He has 4 
element Yagi and 4-1000A linear amplifier and was coming here with 59+20dB!  
I was also 59+ on his receiver, and we had a lovely pipe-line.  We enjoyed 
chatting for about one and a half hour till his bed time came.

He even tried to call up Ray, KL7C who is staying in a care house and I could 
not get in touch through his cellular phone for last few months for some 
reason, and hook him up on his phone patch system using 35 years old Heathkit 
phone patch interface console. (He did special efforts for today to prepare 
for phone patch.)  So, I could enjoy talking with Ray via phone patch for the 
first time!

Well, a rag-chew and a friendship being brought back after 35 years were 
realized!
I am always thinking this is what the amateur radio is!
59-QSL type QSOs and competitions for DXCC could never bring forth valuable 
deep impressions with warm heart.

Me sorprendí mucho de conocer que hayan tantas actividades para el AM en 
Urguay y otoros paises de Sudamérica.  No lo sabía.  

Lo que me trajó muchísimo es hay tantas radioaicionados que se interesan 
autoconstrucción de radio.  La verdad es que las fotos que están saliendo en 
la página web de Jorge me recuerdan las de Japón en los sesenta .(del 1960 
al 1969)  Se puede encontrarlas en la revista CQ japonés de aquellos años.  

Yo empezé esta afición en el fín de los sesenta y llevo más de cuarenta 
años con esta afición.  He hecho y conseguido muchas cosas en este campo 
pero ahora lo que creo mucho es “Hay que aprender mucho en los que 
radioaficionados hicieron en los sesenta”.   

Ahora podemos adquirir cualquiera radio muy potente si tenemos dinero 
suficiente.  La verdad es que ahora  el mundo de radioafición está lleno de 
aparatos fabricados con una tecnología muy avanzada que no se pueden 
entender por los radioaficionados generales.  Están locos de verdad.  No 
debe ser así.  

¡Si tengo que estar loco prifiero estar loco por el AM haciendo 
autoconstrucción como vosotros!
Es el camino para los aficionados con el que se puede ganar algo vale mucho 
para cada uno.

Me siento muy feliz de conocer actividades de los locos por el AM en 
Sudamérica y ésto me da mucha energía para esforzarme más. (En Japón sí los 
existen pero muy poco. )

Espero que nos podamos trabajar en el AM en la banda de HF o 50MHz algún 
día.

Hace unos meses desde que empecé a renovar este forum porque habían muchas 
páginas nuevas que se existían en lo de en Japonés e Inglés aúnque no las  
exsistiéran en este idioma.

!Pero ya está! Espero que muchos radioaficionadores de España vengan y se 
diverten por aquí.

Hace más de diez años desde que ponía enlaces con las páginas web de 
radioaficionadores de España.  Ahora casi toda la información esté muy 
vieja y he borrado muchas enlaces desde la página de enlace.
(Había unos años en los que me dedicaba todo en astronomía y no fijaba 
mucha atención por este forum.)

Aprovechando esta ocasión espero hacer nuevas enlaces con las páginas web 
de radioaficionados en España. 
Los que se interesan hacerla por favor mándame un e-mail.  

While I was so busy with other works most of messageboards of the MAFNET
seems to have been attacked by the SPAM and as I have to exchange the
data files into the one that I have backuped we lost many messages 
being uploaded in recent months.
Sorry for the problem being caused by this matter.

Hello Doug!

Very sorry for missing your comment for a long time.  I hope you 
have already resolved your problem concerning the matter.

To avoid simillar problems I have put a modification to this site so
that the messageboard's update infromation on the top page should
include for all message board  in different languages in that 
forum.  (Previously the update information used to be that of a Japanese 
message board only.)

Sorry for the inconveniences.  

Is there a JA call book in English that can be searched for JA call signs.  I 
have many contacts worked with no information on their name/City etc.
