Album of Islands Tour - Malolo Island (October, 28 2013)
[The last renewal of this page: Nov. 1, 2013]
Only one week is left before I end my stay in Fiji for about two years.
For my last memory on Fiji, I deceided to go to a remote island, which is the best place to find the best beauty of Fiji.
If it's an island in the Mamanuca Group, even to the farest island it takes only two hours (stopping by a couple of islands), so we can enjoy enough with a day trip.
The island that I chose as the last remote island was Malolo Island.
It is a resort island, but it's different from South Sea Island nor Treasure Island where I have been already, as it is not such a tiny little island as small as to require you more than a couple of minutes to go around the island which shows up in a novel.
The island is very popular as its atmosphere for adult.

I am eating a breakfast at the port Denarau waiting for a departure, worrying about the sky wich is occupied with dark clouds.

As I have been worrying about,
the blue sky whcih I saw when I got up in the morning has been covered with a dark could, it started raining at the same moment of the departure.
What a bitter coffee on the boat! Though it is my last memory...

The rain gets heavier, and all the passengers got in a cabin.

When the boat arrived at the first stop at South Sea Island, the rain almost stoped. A lighter is going to the island with the passengers from my boat for landing.

Wait a minute! A bright cloud is appearing now among dark coulds. This means..??

Wow! We got it! We got a sun shine now. Passengers turned back to the deck from the cabin.

Mana Island in in sight. Believe it or not, the blue sky came back! Isn't this a miracle?!

Mana Island has a landing pier, so the boat coems alongside the pier. The weather seems to have been recovered very well.

In any remote islands, as long as they are resort islands, fijians are always welcoming passengers singing a song with beating time with their hand.

This is a beautiful island, however because a big japanese resort hotel is attracting customers in a large scale, there seems full of visitors are here.

The next stop is Castaway Island. A lighter transports the passenger to the island here.
This is a very small resort with a small beach.

My destination, Malolo Island is in sight now. A litle blue sky remains here, and may be I can enjoy. Oh, lucky!

A lighter is coming for us.

The water has an unbelievable beautiful color.

Bye for Tiger4, a high speed boat which took me here, and now landing.

Here also fijians were welcoming us singing a song at the pier.
A fijian lady put a necklace made of seashells around my neck.

Believe it of not, the weather has been completely recovered! Isn't that the best day to come?! God seemed to come in on my side.

Right after the arrival, a simple orientation was given.

I jumped out to the beach.

Yachts, canoes, and equipments such as snorkel and swimming goggles are all free.
By the way, a total cost F$160 (US$80) includes a boat fare of round trip and a luch, so it is so reasonable.

Wow, beautiful!

This is terrific!

Fish is very well seen cleary at the water's edge.
The never run away even I come close to them.

Even a fish seems to be relaxing.

The best weather! As the coral reef reflects the sun shine, the water color is really beautiful.

I never forget to take time lapse potographs (To take a several hundred pictures with a camera, to process them on PC to create a fast movie in a high resolution.)

This is a picture of one frame from the time lapse photograph that I took.

This is also a picture of one frame from the time lapse photograph that I took.

This is also a picture of one frame from the time lapse photograph that I took.

The roof is protecting me from a scorching sun, and it is so comfortable, indeed!

A chartered sea plane with rich tourists on board arrives.

I can't help being very conscious of a reef over there.

As a matter of fact, there are people visiting there on canoe.

A water bike is for a charge. I once tried it in Treasure Island, and was a lot of fun to make me feel that I can go anywehre.
This time, I chose a canoe.

Near the reef, the water is extremely beautiful due to the coral reef in the water.

Wow Wow! Wonderful! lovely!

I tried to land the reef.

I feel that I should come here again with a luch box.

At the moment that I thought that I would be burned to be injured with the sun shine, the time for return came.
Getting on a lighter, wait for the boat.

I was so lucky to have the best weather unexpectedly.

The same boat Tiger4 as I got on my way to the island. Transfer to the boat from the lighter.

The pier is getting far.

Very expensive water bures (A hotel in an independent house above the water) for rich men.

Bye bye Malolo Island! Thanks a lot for giving me the wonderful last memory!

Castaway Island which we stopped by on our way to Malolo Island.

A very small resort.

This is also the island we stopped by, South Sea Island.

The main island of Fiji, Viti Levu Island is now in sight. It is covered with a thick cloud.
As VitiLevu Island has mountains, clouds tend to outbreak. There are many cases that it rains in Viti Levu Island while closed remote islands has a fine weather.

Back to the port Denarau.

Depart at 9 o'clock in the morning, and get back at 6 o'clock in the evening. It's been a really worthwhile day.
Being blessed with magnificent weather and the water, I have nothing to regret in Fiji's sea anymore now.
