== Finally got settled in a Cottage at Skylodge Hotel ==

On May 2, 2012,
after 2 months hotel room stay, I finally got a vacant cottage as a long waited my home.
In the property of the Skylodge Hotel, there are aout 20 cottages among the many trees, and each cottage is separated in two households. The right half of the cottage is mine.

Two cars are in a garage but one shows its back is a broken company car which is temporarily placed.

It's my Toyota Carola! It is the most popular and most wanted car in Fiji as all the complete parts are available in this country and very cheap to to fix it.

The gass is propane. Garbage is collected every morning from this bucket. (To make the matter more comfortable, in this country we don't need to separate rubbish!)
The sink set outside of the house is for washing. Once in two weeks, Indian woman comes my home for washing and cleaning the house. (about 1,000Yen for a day)

There is a plenty space for washing machine at next to the sink. (I will consider later, anyway...)

The side view. Lots of greens and space are sorounding the house.

In the north side (It's the south side for Japan), there is a balcony, and is accessable from the outside by steps.

It is so confortable for relaxing.

A living room. Through the door in front at the right, you can get it the bedroom. It is said that a Korean used to stay here, and he left a good furniture, so I was very lucky to get this cottage.

There is a big fan at the ceiling other than air conditioner.

I bought an iron and an ironing board. My car is parked right outside of the door in front.

In the kitchen, the gass stove with 4 burners and the oven is installed. The previous resident left a rice cooker, mixer and a electric kettle.B

A refrigerator is big and good enough for me. Maybe I'll buy microwave oven later because there sold a very simple one at bout JPY9,000 or so.

I was so lucky to get this cottage for me. (Every cottage has different room design and furniture) It's so comfortable to live in.
Lavatory is bright and wide with a large mirror, and is so good.

Shower room has a good space and so clean.

Bed room. Two double beds are set here.

I asked the engineer of the hote to make an operation desk for me. They built it right away in the requested size. I was so impressed by its beautiful finish.
This desk is a very important main desk for PC and radio operation.

There is a sufficient storage space. (Even in the kitchen, I was very surprized to find a large storage space.) Moreover, furniture beinf left by previous resident gave me a perfect satisfaction.

I displayed all the radio, electronic equipments and PC that were hard to bring from Japan on the desk.
They built a just a fitable operation desk for my purpose. (They built this free!)

The white stand microphone on the right is for SKYPE and EchoLink. (The internet system to remote control the radio in my home in Japan) The balck one on the left is for the radio equipment.
It is so compact in a small scale in comparison with the radio system that I have in Japan, but it is possible to contact with all over the world with this simple system.
I am going to put up a wire antenna between trees in the garden. It is really interesting to see how it'll work. (I have already applied the radio license in Fiji, but it's still under process. All the work in the authority has a serious delay recently.)
