Album of Islands Tour - South Sea Island (March 10, 2012)
[The last renewal of this page: Mar. 12, 2012]
Port Denalau is a main gate for the tour to small islands.
South Sea Island is the closest island, and it takes only 30 minutes by boat. As this is my first trip to one of these islands, so I chose a half day tour which stars at noon time.
A lunch, tea time, free snorkelling and fins, free kayaking, free drinks such as beer, wine, softdrinks all day are included, and is only about 6,000Yen.
It depart Denalau at noon, and get back at 6 o'clock, so there is plenty time to enjoy.

The sea water around Port Denalau is not very clear because of the muddy Nadi river flow in, but as the boat get out to the sea, the water gets very clear.

Far ahead of the boat, right above the horizen, many small islands are visible.

They are coming close. My hearts beats fast with expectations.

Oh, there you're!! This is the South Sea Island! What a pretty and beautiful islandI
How can such a small island exist in this world?

The coral reef is surrounding the island, and it makes the color of the sea such beautiful!

It is an island that comes in a story of Robinson Cruesew! An island of dream! It is the island that I could at last come after 5 weeks stay in Fiji, so this excitement is really exceptional!

The boat is too big to get to the island, so the litle boat came to pick us up to transport us to the island.

It is small enough for you to need less than five minutes to go around the island.

As the little boat approaches the island, a beautiful song started to jump in my ears.

A group of Fijians were welcoming us singing a song.

Uubelievable beautiful beach caught my eyes when I got off the boat. It is, absolutely a beautiful coral beach that I saw in my dream!!

An orientation was given how to spend a time during our stay.

After the orientation, it's a lunch time. The volume and quality are great and good enough.

They showed us a great traditional song and dance in the islands.
These people look very different from normal Fijians in main island (Viti Levu) in its appearance of body and face. They look so wild (sorry!) as in the premitive era.
It was very clear for me that this was not simple show for the sightseeing turists.

Oh, my! No words to express this beauty...

Well, let's go!

The beach is full of pices of dead corals.

This is where the water reaches due to the wave, but it is hard to tell so?? as it is so clear.

I could not stop my body start dance in front of such beauty.

I then jumped in the water wearing snorkel and glasses to see under the water of the South pacific at the first time.
Although I was right in the very shallow water, a group of tropical fish shinning in blue came in my sight. The attractive tropical fishes in beautiful colors caugh my eyes.
There are big ones like sea bream, but shinning in rainbow colors. To my surprising, those fishes never went away otherwise if I put my hands so close to them.

The neighbour island is visible right there.

The water is really warm, and the feeling is just like being in the hot springs. It was really a paradise.
The islands are so nice! I learned Fiji shows its real beauty only in those small islands.
