Message Board for English/Spanish is now separated from the common one for
English, Spanish and Japanese.

My first experience to get to know camping cars was in the travel that I
visited Anchorage Alaska in 1976 when I was a college student.

I was very much suprised and impressed with bunch of motor homes and trailer
houses up there being used just for daily life.

At that era I could hardly see a camping car in Japan, and after I came back
to Japan, I started to build a small camper by myself importing a magazine
reagarding camping cars from U.S.A. every months. It took me two years to
complete the construction, but nobody knows how much I enjoyed camping with
it in Japan while nobody else was doing same way.

Now, bunch of imported mortor home and campers are available, and many
Japanese-made campers as well. Nothing is new and outstanding anymore.

However, it is clear that the mortorhomes and large campers are still more
popular in U.S.A. and some other countries where they are required than
Japan, which is a country too small to utilize them 100%.

In this sence it is very similar to the situation of usage of small aircrafts
that I mentioned in a message board in Airplane forum.

I wish someday I could enjoy traveling aroud the world in a camping car and
may be in a "camping" cruiser.
