Construction Report of MAFNET Home Observatory No.1

[The last renewal of this page: June 28, 2001]

At last, I decided to have my own observatory Room. I'm not living in a strong wind area nor freezing area, then I chose Sliding Roof Type Observatory rather than a Dome Type, which doesn't need any roatating system nor produce any air turbulance. If I buy it it would cost me more than 1,000,000Yen (US$8,000.00), but I challanged to build it myself with a cost of 200,000Yen (US$1,600.00)!
- Started work on Apr.4.1999 -

Started with a frame work. A plane size is 1.9m X 2.7m (60feet X 90feet) (1999.4.4)

Basic frames are completed. A portion of sloped top in the right will be a space for operations desk and storage. (1999.4.5)

Sliding Roofs with 60cm high(2 feet high) will be set on top of this. After the completions, whole the room will be moved to the left to the fence, and mouting pole for the telescope will come right in the middle of the room.
