Facilities in January, 1999

With an investment of \1,500,000 (US$12,500), I constructed the digital astronomical observation system. Main system (with automatic intro- duction/tracking system) + Automatic tracking system with high preision + Digital/analogue photo system -1999.1.23-

1. Main System (with acutomatic intoduction /tracking system)
Telescope : D8inch/f1,800mm/F9 Cassegrain/Visac reflector (Vixen VC200L)
Mounting : Motor driven equatrial (Vixen GPD)
Controler : Automatic intruduction/tracking sistem (Vixen Sky-sensor 2000PC)

2. Automatic tracking system with high preision
Guidescope : D3.2inch/f560mm/F7 refractor (Mizar GT-80S)
Light reception unit : High sensitivity video CCD camera (Vixen B05-3M)
Automatic guide system : Automatic guide adaptor (Vixen AGA-1)

3. Digital/analogue photograph system
Digital system : 400,000 pixcel CCD camera (Mutoh-Kogyo CV-04/2LH)
Water cooling unit for radiated heat of cooled CCD
(Mutoh-Kogyo LU)
Automatic Filter set tarlet (Mutoh-Kogyo FC-06)
Analogue system : Rreflex camera body for astronomical pictures
(Vixen VX1)

4. Automatic equatrial guiding system for star cameras --> Sub system modified from old 5.2inch reflector
Guidescope : D2.8inch/f400mm/F5.7 (VIXEN 70S)
Mounting : Motor driven(right ascension) equatrial (VIXEN APOLIS)

Cooled CCD camera is mounted to D8inch Cassegrain/Visac reflector.
A video CCD camera for guiding system is mounted to D3.2inch refractor.

IBM/THINKPAD560 is used for PC to control Cooled CCD and view images and to run astronmical simulator. For the night light, an orange dark -room valve is used. A TV monitor is to monitor vide CCD for guiding.

400,000 pixcel CCD camera (Mutoh-Kogyo CV-04/2LH) with Water cooling unit for radiated heat of cooled CCD (Mutoh -Kogyo LU), and automatic filter set tarlet.(Mutoh-Kogyo FC-06)

Tripod has replaced to Steel Pier, and is fixed to the concrete floor with anchor volts. System is now ready for observation just by removing cover sheet for telescope, and this should be the first step for observation room (dome) in future. (1999.3.6)
